We use a mix of baking soda and water while even more traditional methods call for lye. Either way, the alkaline bath alters the sugars and proteins on the surface of the pretzel, allowing for that deep, distinctive browning during baking.
Our soft pretzel rolls love taking center stage as sandwich buns, but are just as content as a grab-and-go snack as well. Available in a 4-pack, or a 1/2 dozen.
